hey I''m Beth!

For over 25 years I’ve been navigating life with Crohn’s and Colitis, and since 2019, with a permanent ileostomy. What began as a journey full of challenges has transformed into one of resilience, growth, and a deep passion for helping other women feel confident and free around food again.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in 2009, and since then, I’ve embraced life with my permanent ileostomy, a decision that gave me a second chance at freedom.

Originally from England, I’ve loved living in Cape Town, Australia, and most recently Bali, carrying my stoma with me every step of the way. Today, I live medication-free, guided by anti-inflammatory nutrition, mindful movement, and slow, nourishing rhythms. I believe wholeheartedly that a stoma doesn’t end your life, it opens the door to living fully again. And now, my mission is to help other women with IBD and stomas feel empowered, supported, and confident to thrive too.

My symptoms began in my teens, debilitating bloating, sickness, exhaustion, and endless dashes to the toilet. For years, I was told it was “just IBS.” Deep down, I knew there was more to it.

At age 19, I threw myself into nutrition and anti-inflammatory living, learning everything I could. I also realised that stress was a big trigger, so I left my stressful sales jobs and retrained in beauty, wellness, and nutrition. At 22, I moved to Australia for 4 years, where I completed my Diploma in Natural Beauty and Nutrition. That’s where my passion for holistic healing really took root.

Where it all
began

The diagnosis
that changed everything

It wasn’t until 2009, after returning to the UK and being rushed in for an emergency colonoscopy, that I was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s and Colitis.

I was immediately started on steroids and medications like Pentasa and Mercaptopurine, which I stayed on for over a decade. They helped me get by, but I always knew I wanted more than just “getting by.”

In 2019 and 2020, I underwent four major surgeries: a serious back surgery, a loop ileostomy, a subtotal colectomy, and finally, a proctectomy.

These surgeries changed my life. They gave me back my freedom. Since then, I’ve been medication-free, living in a way that truly supports my body and soul.
Living with a stoma hasn’t always been easy, but it’s given me back my smile. I surf, I paint, I eat delicious food, I rest when I need to, and I no longer live in fear of the next flare.

Surgeries, stoma &
a new chapter

moved to
Bali, age 40

I lived in Bali 2024/2025,where I discovered the beauty of slow living, deep rest, and soul nourishment. I also became a qualified breathwork facilitator and completed my Diploma in Nutrition.

But after committing to reformer Pilates 5 times a week, plus surfing, my para-stomal hernia (which I’d managed for over 2 years) got drastically worse. After a string of blockages, infections, and eventually a bowel twist, I was rushed into emergency surgery in April 2025. This unfortunately forced me to return back home to Dorset, where I could focus on my recovery, health, and helping my clients. In July I returned to Pilates and I am hoping to head off surfing early next year!

To anyone walking this path: your life isn’t over with a stoma. In many ways, it’s just beginning.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about what you eat. It’s about:

🤍 how you live
🤍 how you love yourself (I am still learning to do this)
🤍 how you rest and move
🤍 and how you allow yourself to grow, even through the hard stuff.
Your worth is not defined by a bag on your belly. Acceptance is powerful. Joy is possible. And food freedom is real.

What I’ve learned

My Mission

Now, as an IBD and Stoma Nutrition and Wellness Mentor, my mission is to support other women living with IBD, stomas, or chronic inflammation to feel more confident, more nourished, and more free, so they can live the life they truly deserve.

I know first-hand how exhausting it feels to be trapped in food fear, flare-ups, and constant worry, and I also know how empowering it is when you finally rebuild trust with your body, find rhythms that work for you, and start to enjoy food and life again.

That’s why I’ve trained and qualified as a Nutritional Therapist and
poured all of my lived experience, professional expertise, and years of trial-and-error into creating my
12-week one-to-one mentorship, Rhythmic Nourishment. It’s a gentle, personalised journey designed to help you reduce inflammation, discover your unique food triggers, and create simple, delicious anti-inflammatory meals that actually fit into your lifestyle.

More than a nutrition plan, it’s about restoring confidence, energy, and joy, so that food becomes freedom, not fear, and you can step back into life feeling supported, radiant, and in control.

Diagnosis that changed everything
In 2009, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, a moment that turned my world upside down, but also started my path of deep self-discovery.

Finding strength in challenges
Years of navigating flare-ups, hospital visits, and uncertainty taught me resilience I didn’t know I had.

Creating freedom & balance
I discovered that food doesn’t have to be the enemy, it can be the foundation of freedom, nourishment, and confidence.

Living medication-free
Through anti inflammatory nutrition, mindful movement, and lifestyle shifts, I now live free from medication, with energy and joy.

My life with a permanent ileostomy. In 2019, I had three life-saving surgeries to form a permanent ileostomy. What felt like an ending was really a new beginning.

Turning pain
into purpose
Now, I’ve woven all of my experience into supporting other women through my mentorship, helping them find the same strength, freedom, and ease in their own lives.
